Model deprecation breaks visual consistency and art style
The deprecation of gpt-image-1 in favor of gpt-image-2 is breaking the established visual identity of projects. Newer models, while technically superior, produce a more generic AI-art look and are not drop-in replacements for specific, refined art styles.

For my project, this is not a minor inconvenience. It puts a central part of my production pipeline and visual identity at risk.
With GPT-Image-2 , even after a lot of careful prompt engineering and many days of iteration, the results still tend to drift into a much more generic AI-art look.
But “better” unfortunately doesnt always mean “compatible” when a project depends on a very specific style.
I honestly struggle to understand why there seems to be no stable path for projects that were built around the specific behavior of an existing model.
