Card #2977 · Zoom App Marketplace
Difficulty obtaining clean transcripts as a Zoom guest
Guests struggle to get accurate transcripts and speaker attribution when the host doesn't enable built-in transcription or provide recordings. Existing workarounds like note-taker bots are seen as unprofessional or intrusive during client calls.

the built in Zoom transcription is usually off the table, because it depends on the host having the right plan and actually turning it on, which they basically never do.
I really do not want a random app popping into the participant list of a client call. It looks bad, and half the time someone asks what it is and the first five minutes turn into a privacy conversation I did not want to have.
For guest calls the only thing that worked for me was asking the host to send me the recording afterward, or screen capturing on my mac when I have it with me, then running that file through vomo ai to get the transcript with speaker labels.
