Issues with Label tool consistency and data synchronization in LayOut

when I select the label tool again it reverts to the default Shape Style
Label tool works in Sketchup, but when imported into layout labels are blank
there is no chance to use it in label in LayOut - I can not see this label option
dimensions and labels to the layout view, and these have all disappeared when I load the .layout file
