Card #3485 · Grafana
MySQL and data source sorting ignored in Table panels
Users are experiencing issues where the 'ORDER BY' clause in MySQL queries is ignored by Grafana Table panels, causing data to sort by the first column or change upon refresh. This prevents merchants from displaying identifiers on the left while sorting by metrics.

Whenever I create a table and “order by” the order by is always ignored and it will sort based on the first column only.
Still the order in grafana changes every time i refresh the tables. mysql host instead shows result in the same order.
Table columns in Grafana can be sorted in ascending or descending order and this overrides the sorting from the query.
