UX and Functional Issues with Agent Mode and Window Layouts
Users are experiencing several issues with Agent Mode, including the application defaulting to Agent Mode on startup and unexpected layout switches. Additionally, there are reports of missing close buttons, unreadable diffs, and a lack of clarity between Agent and Editor settings.

Cursor has started launching in Agent Mode every time I open the application. As a result, I have to manually switch back to IDE Mode

In Agent window it is difficult to see the changes (inside diff viewer) when the agent is working because those changes are constantly being added up and the window “jumps”
both the Agent Window and Editor Window present settings that look like they belong to the same “Cursor Settings” area, but they control different things
