Incorrect texture scaling and tiling when applying materials

Users are struggling with the paint bucket tool where textures appear either too large or too small, often resulting in a solid color instead of a pattern. There is also difficulty in applying single images as decals without them tiling or shrinking automatically.

When I apply the material/paint, it’s like my object is too small for the pattern - like when adding bricks on my Building, only a few, very big, bricks will show up

the textures are all turning out so small that they appear as one colour. Where there should be one brick there is over a thousand

when I select, for example a grey brick to paint, I only get the color grey, not the bricks

using an image as a texture results in it being tiled. In addition the image becomes very tiny
