Difficulty configuring and populating dashboard variables
Users are struggling with how to correctly use and populate variables in queries across different data sources. There are reports of variables not being automatically populated during dashboard import and confusion regarding the correct syntax for inserting variables into field names.

the variable queries are not automatically populated during import. Is this a feature os a bug? All dashboards are affected?
If I put it with var or {{var}} or [[var]] it always shows the string I put in there, not the value of the variable.
I would like to add a variable but I am not sure how to use the query field. Could you help?
When we import this dashboard, we see the dropdown for the variable at the top of the window is empty. When we go and edit the variable and save without changing anything, we see the values are fetched and dropdown is filled.
