Model selection resets or is ignored in Composer and Subagents
Users are experiencing issues where the selected AI model reverts to Composer 2.5 or its 'Fast' variant automatically. Additionally, subagents often ignore configured model settings and use expensive or disabled models without user consent.

My default agent model keeps reverting to Composer 2.5 Fast even when I explicitly choose Composer 2.5 with Fast turned off.
Subagent used Opus 4.8 and I was charged for it despite having only composer 2.5 enabled as my model options
the usage-limit flow can switch the model to Composer 2.5 when Auto is the option that should keep working
In Planning Mode, the Explorer agent always uses Composer 2.5 instead of the model configured in Settings (Claude Sonnet).
