Card #452 · GitHub Marketplace
Unreliable outage reporting and poor status page transparency
The official status page often remains green during actual outages, forcing users to rely on social media or third-party monitors. This lag in communication causes wasted time and frustration when critical services like GitHub Actions and the API fail.

the GitHub status page stays stubbornly green even when half the internet is screaming that pushes are failing and Actions workflows are hanging indefinitely
they really under report outages
My usual workflow when something feels off is to check the status page, get no useful signal, then head over to Twitter or Downdetector to figure out what is actually happening.
