Inaccurate or missing automatic package size suggestions for shipping
Merchants are frustrated that Shopify's suggested package sizes are often incorrect, frequently defaulting to the largest box regardless of settings. I don't know why they even offer "suggested package size" because it is always picking our largest boxes for shipment.
Every checkout is a gamble: undercharge and lose margin, or set a big default box and lose sales to sticker shock.
Shopify is pretty annoying when it comes to shipping with different sizes of packaging.
To.get rid of our chosen default selection and put their stupid AI suggestion there instead is stepping way over the line.
