We're constantly fighting fraudulent orders that slip through Shopify's fraud analysis.
“I've already blocked the country as a whole, but they use VPNs and still get around it. Right now I have to deal with 2 chargebacks and hope I win those.”
We're Shopify merchants who rely on Google Ads and Merchant Center to drive sales, but we keep getting hit with vague 'misrepresentation' suspensions.
“I've not dealt with this before, and will be contacting Shopify support, but just wondering if any of you have suddenly received this... I'm wondering if it could it be a miscommunication between Shopify and Google, or a flaw in Google's reporting system?”
We're struggling to understand the true cost of each transaction on Shopify.
“Would love to know why you got downloaded. I just found this post after I made one of my own being confused as hell as to where my money was going. I had to get ai to help and even it was confused at first. Im used to etsy being very clear and consie in one page where my money was going.”
We run a physical store with high-traffic in-person sales days, and we need to turn off online sales so all stock goes to in-person customers.
“Don’t want them on Shop and don’t want another sales channel to manage. We have occasional high volume in-person shopping days and not enough stock or support to have online and in-person run at the same time. We turned off the online store and Shop so items had to be purchased in-person, but didn’t realize Shop allowed people a backdown to purchase online. It messed up multiple potential in-person sales. I should not be forced to use a platform I don’t want, and Shopify’s Shop does not give you the choice. Even support said it’s not possible “at the moment” (aka it’s intentional) for a store to be fully removed from Shop”
We thought more ad creatives meant more chances to win, so we kept making more.
“meta is not smart enough to figure out 40 ads on a budget that can’t feed all of them. each ad was getting like $8/day. that’s nothing. not enough purchases to learn from. not enough signal to build an audience. meta was basically just randomly showing stuff to random people and charging me for the privilege.”
