Checkout customization limited to Shopify Plus plans
Merchants on non-Plus plans are unable to add native customizations, such as checkboxes or custom fees, to the checkout process. This limitation hinders compliance with EU directives and prevents B2B merchants from passing on card processing fees to customers.

Shopify does not allow any native customizations/checkboxes at checkout with my plan.
The plan I’m on doesn’t allow any modifications at checkout, so I can’t do the checkbox yet without third party tools
There is no native way for you to customize your checkout to add a fee to the cart as a line item (or similar) when a customer selects a certain payment method at checkout.
Custom checkout blocks don’t support checkboxes
