Cluttered and non-collapsible navigation sidebar
The new sidebar UI feels cluttered and takes up too much valuable screen space. Users are frustrated by the lack of an option to collapse or hide the sidebar, forcing them to deal with unnecessary visual noise during daily work.

there isn’t even the option to collapse or remove that particular column
Having all the modes visible all the time makes the sidebar feel cluttered and takes up valuable visual space for daily use.
It would be nice if the annoying bit they added to the left could be collapsed while still leaving the other panel open.
