Card #2375 · Shopify App Store
Loss of critical retail operations after Stocky removal
Merchants are losing essential POS functionality including purchase orders, stock takes, and inventory reporting due to the removal of Stocky. The lack of a native Shopify replacement makes running brick-and-mortar stores inefficient and is forcing some users to migrate to other platforms.

without stocky we will have to go through so many steps to do the most basic functions that a POS should be offering for a shop
Removing Stocky means we can’t place orders, do year end stock takes, report on our year end numbers for the government, make and report on stock adjustments, run sales reports and more
Shopify does not have a native replacement for these tasks
it’s basically the entire operational layer (POs, stock takes, reporting, adjustments) disappearing at once
