Merchants are experiencing repeated failures with Shopify's automated identity verification system, leading to disabled payments or blocked store access. I’ve attempted the verification process more than 10 times , using different identity documents and following all the instructions carefully, but I keep getting the same message: “Your identity couldn’t be verified. Please try another document.”
Shopify requested identity verification and proof of business. We submitted: Government-issued ID Business registration Commercial invoices from Macron Bank transfer confirmation to Macron Inventory verification letter Shipping documentation After review, Shopify confirmed they received all documentation. However, our appeal was later denied with only a general statement that our business represents a level of risk.
I try to submit my ID (multiple forms over multiple attempts) and every time it just says “please try again with a different ID.”
