Mac SketchUp lacks material name editing and batch import

Mac users of SketchUp cannot edit material names in the materials window, which is required for extensions like Cutlist. Additionally, the Mac version lacks a batch import feature for .skm files, forcing users to manually copy files into hidden system folders or create materials one by one. This makes managing material libraries tedious and error-prone compared to the Windows version.

Can anyone tell me how to edit the name of a material in SU mac? I’m trying to use the Cutlist extension and it requires that the material have a name such as “veneer” or “Plywood” and the Mac version of the materials window shows no way of editing that.

there is no browse for folder function or import collection feature… if you know your way into your personal ‘Materials’ folder, it’s not to difficult, but if not, it’s a pain in the butt…

the Mac version of SketchUp does not provide any method to do a batch import.

Without that, do you know how I can load these files?
