Card #3759 · SketchUp Extension Warehouse
No effective 3D navigation on trackpad or touchpad
Users report that SketchUp lacks effective 3D navigation (orbit, zoom) on trackpads and touchpads, forcing them to use a mouse. This is a significant friction point for laptop users and workshop participants who cannot easily demonstrate models without plugging in a USB mouse.

Unfortunately, mouse look doesn’t work for me, with either a mouse or trackpad.
I wish SketchUp supported gestures, then I could orbit and zoom with two fingers on my Magic Trackpad.
Also it’s always a drag not to be able to just pull out your laptop to show a model without plugging in a lumpy USB mouse to navigate.
