Section cuts interfere across scenes in SketchUp

Merchants report that section cuts applied to one scene (e.g., a floor plan) become active in other scenes (e.g., a 3D perspective or building section), making it difficult to maintain separate section cuts for different views. Users struggle to keep horizontal and vertical section cuts independent across scenes, and attempts to use layers or separate styles do not reliably solve the problem.

The section cut under the VIEW menu when applied to the Floor Plan scene also is active in the 3D Perspective scene. How do I have the section cut apply to only one scene?

I am still trying to wrap my brain around how to create a vertical building section that does not cancel out my horizontal section plan used for the floor plan.

I tried to create another style for the vertical building section cut (section cut on) but after saving the Building Section Scene, the floor plan lost its section cut.
