OBJ export from SketchUp is not Blender-friendly, need FBX binary support

Merchants are struggling to export SketchUp models for use in Blender. The native OBJ exporter and TIG's plugin produce files that are not compatible with Blender, causing import failures. Users are requesting a binary FBX export option as a more reliable alternative for cross-platform workflows.

I found TIG obj exporter / native SU obj to be not very Blender friendly.

I’m trying to import something into Blender and the obj isn’t working out so well. I was recommended to try fbx instead
