Lack of custom reasons for manual inventory adjustments
The native Shopify inventory adjustment tool lacks the ability to record custom reasons or notes for stock changes. This prevents merchants from maintaining audit trails and meeting legal and tax compliance requirements for reporting stock movement.

Shopify’s native stock adjustment functionality covers the basic adjustment process, it lacks the ability to add a custom reason or note to each inventory adjustment.
Correct reporting of stock movement is a legal and tax requirement for us, and a safety requirement for my staff (to show what they’ve done and why).
We’ll today we lost the ability to have adjustment reason, boo. big fail on shopify.
