The story
The pain
We run agencies and sales teams, and a huge chunk of our potential revenue disappears between lead acquisition and closing. Slow follow-ups, broken handovers between teams, and tasks that get auto-completed or lost in the CRM all cause deals to fall through the cracks. The CRM itself becomes part of the problem when field definitions are unclear and data syncs go wrong, making it impossible to trust the pipeline.

About half of the revenue for my clients is lost between lead acquisition and various engagement steps - aka where things fall through cracks. Salesrep was slow to followup, handover between teams broke down etc etc.
one thing i've noticed with CRM setups is some fields kinda just... exist everyone uses them but nobody really agrees on what they're actually supposed to mean. stuff like lead source, qualified, priority, last contacted etc. ask 3 people on the team how they'd fill one out and you'll probably get 3 different answers lol nothing really breaks at first, so nobody cares. then a few months later the reports are weird, automations start doing dumb stuff and nobody trusts the data anymore.
If a buyer checked off a step in the mutual action plan, it pushed "completed" to crm for every task tied to that opportunity. Outreach sequence, renewal call, qbr reminder, even the legal follow up, all gone.. auto completed. No alerts. And this was live for two weeks. We only caught it because a VP at a 250k deal emailed our ceo like "hey, did your team forget about us?". I feel sick about this, pipeline is full of deals where nothing is scheduled and reps swear they had tasks planned but the workspace says everything looks tidy and green.
