Rules fail to trigger when based on formula field changes
Automation rules do not trigger correctly when the condition is based on a formula field, particularly for number and date formats. This prevents merchants from automating workflows based on calculated values, forcing them to use manual workarounds or external tools like Zapier.

rules cannot yet be triggered based on sums of a formula, only when a formula field is changed.
when a trigger is a formula field which is formatted as a date, it does not trigger a rule when that date value is simply changed.
I found this thread while looking for issues related to “Number field is changed” rule trigger not triggering when the field is a formula.
This bug is painful and has broken several workflows that previously worked absolutely fine. In essence, when a formula field is changed it does no longer trigger a rule
This is a serious bug and is breaking workflows and big gap in the ‘Number is’ condition, making formula fields unusable.
