The pain
We're spending 20 minutes every morning pasting numbers into a spreadsheet just to see what actually sold overnight because inventory counts across Shopify, Amazon, and other channels never line up. The tools that are supposed to sync do it wrong half the time, and overselling is a weekly worry. We've tried middleware apps, but the drift comes back after a few days, so we just accept the manual copy-paste and move on.

The trouble starts when it becomes the place where people fix differences between Amazon, Shopify and other sales channels. Someone updates stock in one place, another person checks an order somewhere else and eventually the spreadsheet becomes the thing everyone trusts most. At that point it feels less like inventory management and more like keeping several systems from disagreeing with each other.
Keeping stock accurate across products and channels is one of those tasks that sound simple until something gets missed and you end up overselling. I'd happily automate the whole thing and only step in when there's actually a problem that needs attention
