“My stub every week has my “Pay” section that has a line item for my gross earnings and a line for “Employer Paid FICA.” (I do have a separate benefits section on each stub as others have mentioned to verify) My employer adds those two line items to get a number they are calling my “Total Pay” and then calculating my taxes based off of that. Because of this I am paying more FICA than my employer. They calculating their portion of FICA based off of my gross earnings. They calculating my portion of FICA based off of my gross earnings AND their portion of FICA.”
