QuickBooks accountants find payment reminders enabled by default, spamming clients
We are discovering that QuickBooks Online has been automatically sending payment reminders and late notices to our clients without our knowledge or consent.
“This happened to me too. QuickBooks automatically had the payment-reminder feature turned on, and I didn’t realize it until a client received a reminder I hadn’t intended to send. You have to know the setting exists in order to turn it off. I agree that something capable of emailing clients on your behalf should be opt-in, not enabled by default.”
