Restaurant owners lose control of private event costs when guest counts drop
The pain
We thought we had a solid contract for a private event, but when the guest count fell from 150 to 110, the host kept asking for more and more extras—early access, elaborate setup, multiple days of storage—stretching a 5-hour event into over 12 hours of site access. Our cost breakdown was too simple, and we had no way to protect ourselves. Now we're looking for contract provisions that actually cover these scope creep scenarios.
