The story

The pain

When we use Slack side conversations with an AI agent or bot in the channel, the bot's replies never sync back to Intercom. Only human messages appear in the side conversation thread, so the full troubleshooting trail is lost. This forces us to manually copy answers or leave them in Slack, breaking the workflow.

Only human replies flow back into the side conversation in Intercom. The agent's replies never appear. I'm assuming that's because they're posted by an app/bot rather than a user account, so they get filtered out of the sync.

AI integrations in these slack channels - When a slack channel has a bot set up to automatically answer questions appearing in the channel, the side conversations from Intercom are frequently overlooked. Could be an issue of 1 bot speaking to another bot and maybe Slack/Intercom doesn’t want that to happen
