The story
The pain
We spend more time waiting for approvals than creating content. The problem isn't just the wait — it's that nobody defines who gives input versus who decides, so everyone acts like they have veto power. Feedback comes in piece by piece, contradicting each other, and we have no way to tell which comments are mandatory and which are just preferences. This ambiguity kills our velocity.

Most approval lists I see are just everyone who might have an opinion. And because there's no difference between "I need your input" and "I need your sign-off", everyone behaves like they have veto power. So you get eight people commenting, half of them on things that aren't their call. Then, the person who made the asset has no way to tell which comments are mandatory and which are preferences. That ambiguity is where the days go.
Approvals are a big one. Especially when feedback comes in piece by piece instead of all at once, so a task that should be done keeps getting reopened.
For me, it' approvals. Content can be produced pretty quickly, but waiting for multiple people to review, give feedback, and sign off can bring the whole workflow to a crawl.
